Why was Family Care Council assigned to
one Agency that does not cover all disabilities? The Family Care Council was to cover all people with disabilities not
just a select few.. Can some one explain why Agency for persons with disability was assigned when they only cover a few disabilities?
The Law needs to be changed to represent all agencies and the educational departments . Presently funding and grants are only
going to one agency giving the state of Florida a false perseption that family concerns are being addressed when APD does
not even look at the elderly, people with ADHD, adult mental disabilities and many disabilities .Who is truly looking out
for the Families with disabilities APD does not cover? Who is voicing their concerns? APD Only Covers
Why is the state duplicating the
collection of information through the QSI ? Want to save? Please look at the following.
APD collects a Support Plan which creates a Cost PLAN which
requires to complete a PURCHASE PLAN
2010 APD requested a complete redesigning. Wont that cost State Money? Why
don't they use that money to help other clients on the List?

Pilate Program
was confusing yet was helpful. The down fall is the same that has been for 10 years. Those participating in the program are
not trained properly. APD trains Coordinators and all the administrations but parents and participants are not. Does APD allow
Representatives and participant to come to training? Sometimes . However the complaints we have received from Representatives
and Participants are they are the locations are to far from where they live. It is a challenge to begin with when some one
has a disability but a greater challenge is is traveling when someone has a disability when they are not physically able
to get to the facility.
